Lee Westwood Academy

An unbelievable opportunity to learn what it takes to become one of the world's best golfers.
Whether you are a beginner or a budding ‘Lee Westwood' these golf academies will improve your golf whilst having a lot of fun!
ACE Golf Academy has been selected to host one of the country's biggest junior coaching events. Lee Westwood has helped put together a coaching programme that will cover every aspect of the game. By using this programme at ACE Golf Academy we can offer and ensure that every attendee will improve their golf. There will also be ‘off-course' sessions including - Etiquette / Rules / Marking Your Card / Nutrition / Fitness /Psychology (some sessions are not applicable for the youngest age groups)
With a 10:1 coaching ratio we can ensure every attendee receives excellent coaching attention. Each attendee will also take away with them a ‘Feedback form' which will give them a breakdown of their strengths and the areas they need to work on.
Every attendee will receive great coaching in the 3 days; however there is also a competitive part to the Academy!!
At each Academy every attendee will play in a series of competitions on and off the course that will cover every aspect of the game.
The competitions will be age appropriate and are designed to be, most importantly, great fun!
However the overall winner from these competitions from each Academy will win a day's golf with Lee Westwood at Lindrick Golf Club, 30th August 2010
This means that 17 lucky winners will be able to play alongside one of the best golfers this country has ever produced. The winners will be able to gain advice from him and learn what it has taken for him to produce the golf he has.
ACE will be hosting this event at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club on 26/27/28 July 2010 from 930am-430pm at a cost of only £150 per child.
National Skills Challenge

ACE Golf Academy at The Warwickshire has been selected to host the Regional Final for this junior event.
The National Skills Challenge has been developed for young golfers. The Challenge covers 5 golfing disciplines and aims to encourage you to practice your skills and improve your golf, whilst also enjoying the game.
Both male and female players, with or without a handicap can take part in the National Skills Challenge. Dependant upon your age you will take part in either the Rookie or Tour Challenge.
If you are under the age of 12 on 1st January you will take part in the Rookie Challenge. Participating boys and girls are then divided into 2 further age categories - under 8 years and 9 to 11 years.
The Tour Challenge is for players aged 12 to 17 years of age on 1st January. You will then be divided into 2 further age categories - 12 to 14 years and 15 to 17 years
Once a golf club has signed up as a National Skills Centre, you will need to register your details online by clicking on the ‘Register‘ button and following the simple steps.
The Challenge Organiser will be aware that you have registered and will be able to provide you with your manual.
The 10 activities in both the Rookie and Tour Challenges test you on 5 golfing disciplines, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker shots and full swing. As a registered player you can view all the challenges online.
As a registered player, you can input your practice scores on your own personal/practice scoreboard. By inputting your scores you are able to see how you are improving over time and whether there are any areas of your game that require further attention.
Your Challenge Organiser will advise you of when your golf club is holding their Seasonal Challenges. Your Challenge Organiser can also add this information to the ‘Events' page of the website.
Every time you take part in a Seasonal Challenge you will be issued with a Rookie or Tour certificate (bronze, silver, gold or platinum) that shows your level of achievement. You can also input your practice scores onto your own ‘Personal Practice Scoreboard' to see how you are improving over time.
