Ian Jones - ACE Head PGA Professional
Ian is a Class A PGA Professional and recipient of a Titleist Scholarship as recognition of his results in the PGA Assistants of the Year (finishing in the top 15) examinations. Ian has worked with global golf club manufacturers such as Wilson Golf and Adidas/Taylor Made. His coaching career has encompassed teaching students who are complete novices to expert players. Ian also has considerable experience of teaching children and young adults. Ian relishes the challenge of helping golfers improve and get more enjoyment out of the game of golf, encouraging every student to achieve their potential via simple, easy to understand instruction and stressing the importance of sound fundamentals. Simon Joyce - ACE PGA Professional
Simon is an experienced PGA professional having taught the game of golf for over 15 years. He started playing at the age of 9 as a junior and continued his steady progress, deciding to turn professional at 17 years of age. Previously working at a number of private and municipal golf courses in the Midlands, he came to Lichfield in 2002. Most members at the club will already know Simon as he moved into his Golf Operations Manager position in 2007. His main philosophy for his coaching is to keep things simple, pupils must understand how, what and why they are trying to achieve something in order for them to succeed. Simon works as a freelance golf professional and enjoys teaching all levels of golfer.
